8/5/2017 - smkl123 Likes this wine: 95 pointsCork came out easy and clean. Took a quick taste and it was perfect. Did not need to breathe a second. Put the cork back in and served 3 hrs later. Fresh and full fruit. Fully integrated--no remaining bitter tannins. Deep red, no brown color yet. Went thru all 6L at dinner (lamb in a cumin yogurt sauce). Drink now or for several years. Exceeded expectations. |

No decant, but let rest in bottle for approx 1 hr. mild browning, but really not much, this wine is in the prime of its life. fair amount of sedimentation, to be expected. mouthful of dark fruit, which lasts through the entire swallow. Secondary flavors of tobacco, cinnamon and cedar. this is fantastic, and still plenty of time to drink. |

Ripe red fruits immediately on the tongue, beautiful earthy secondary flavors follow right after the fruit. Fantastic finish of cherries and strawberries 5 seconds after swallowing. Drinking great now, probably for some time. |

Actually one of my favorite young sauternes. while a mediocre Red Bord year, a fantastic sauternes year, and this is a great example of it. Nothing harsh, honey finish. This will be a good one for the ages. |

Deep red fruit showing, still strong tannins present but very subtle. very classic margaux. dark fruits, just a hint of charcoal. still incredibly young, would wait 5 more years to drink. this was better than i expected, and will be alot better in the coming years. |
