7/25/2016 - RSK Likes this wine: NRLight peach aroma and a full, round texture. The acid didn't kick in until it hit the back of my palate. If I'm pairing this with food, I'd like to see more acid. But it's enjoyable on its own, and at this alcohol level I don't *need* food to enjoy a glass or two on a hot day. |

The meatiness picks up on the palate, along with red fruits. Intense, especially the nose, for a lighter-bodied wine. The tannins bite down pretty quickly at this point. I think it could use some time for the palate to catch up with the already compelling nose. Great value from the Novy as usual. |

Both the 2007 and the 2008 have the acidity that I've found lacking in other Shirazes. It won't be mistaken for a Northern Rhone, but it is balanced and enjoyable if you appreciate wines on the riper end of the spectrum. |
