Too young but delicious to tamper with. |

Deep dark ruby color, lovely nose of minty cassis, blackberries, ground coffee powder, some earth. Delicious perfumed dark fruits on the palate grounded in terroir hints, superbly structured and great lift and power mid palate, finishes long with soft but present tannins. Delicious and in a decent drinking window now. |

Very elegant on the palate with decent weight and acidity, almost like a strong Volnay with the Corton notes needing more air to show. Finishes tannic, quite round with a velvety finish. Young but still very enjoyable. |

With air the dust dissipated into opulent black and dark red spicy fruits. A little jammy on the palate, some stone and spice, finishes quite linear and long with tannins present in the background. Much prefer the 2018 Malconsorts. |

Very nice indeed I much prefer this to the 2004 Blanc des Millénaires. |

Deep crimson red color, nose wafting with perfumed cassis, black currants, leather initially which morphed into cigar tobacco with more time in the decanter. Beautifully crafted wine, complex with secondary notes of mature delicious dark red and black fruits. Silky entry on the palate, expands beautifully mid palate with superb balance, finishes long with notes of coffee. As good as the 1982 if not better. |

Classic nose of raspberries, cassis, leather, some gravel, not opulent but reserved. On the palate medium bodied, gentle richness mid palate, good structure but not overly complex so slightly disappointing in that regard, finishes with very fine grainy tannins and good length. A wine to continue to track over the next few years. |

Beautiful crimson cloak, hardly any signs of bricking or evolution, dense liquid. On the nose lots of blackberries, black currants, perfumed cassis, gravel, earth, graphite, old leather, fully reflected on an amazingly structured palate, finishes powerful and long with tannins nicely integrated with the bitter chocolate spicy finish. Just tremendous and masculine for a Pichon Lalande but definitely my style of vino. |

Lovely now I can only imagine how it will be in 15 years if my stock lasts. |

On the palate very dense and fat entry, explosive black fruits mid palate, solid backbone and superbly complex and refined, finishes with a bitter chocolate and dark notes with tannins present but overwhelmed by the richness in fruit. Superb wine. Has now elevated beyond the 89 which I love. |

Opened and aerated in bottle for 45 minutes and drank over an hour side by side to a 1996 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes by Robert Ampeau. High acidity but gains weight with aeration, fennel, citrus fruits, that perfumed jasmin style minerality, with an expansive and fat finish. I would wait ten years for this. |
