  July 10, 2009 - Bordeaux 101 in a glass. Graphite and cherries are the dominant aromas with some cinnamon and some road side fennel as well. The nose and palate were a little tight despite being decanted for about a half an hour. Once it did open up, there were lots of zingy red fruits, mouth watering acidity and slightly green tannins. Got better and softer over the next hour. Not as big and round as some of the other '03's (very hot vintage).
