  January 19, 2010 - Popped and pured from a 375. Good stuff. Open, accessible and fruit forward, with some nice balancing mushroom and earthy notes. The plummy character from the merlot really shines through, but is offset by good Sangiovese acidity and cherry aromatics. Some thick tannin on the back end, but it's not bitter and doesn't really detract. Long and structured, too. 91+.
