  August 15, 2010 - I have had over a case of this wine and do not get the funky nose that others seem to find. I feel like I am drinking a different wine than others have described. I do get some earth (not funk) in every bottle and have noticed some bottle variation - especially in regard to perceived acidity. Some have been slightly tart/green while others are smooth and balanced. This last bottle was nicely balanced with mostly dark berry fruit along some typical earth components. Medium body and a smooth mouthfeel. Very enjoyable and still one of my favorite high QPR wines.
