  September 5, 2010 - This is drinking very nicely, though initially the alcohol does show through a bit on both the nose and palate. Loads of deep red fruit with some spice. Palate is balanced, juicy acidity, strawberry fruit which is quite ripe but avoids going to the jammy side. Over the course of a couple of hours this wine does nothing but get better, with a solid mineral core developing, though still playing second fiddle to the very nice fruit. I'll hang on to the magnum for a couple of years.
