The tannins have laid down over the past year, making it much more approachable now. After about 10 minutes in the glass, the red fruit really shines through. A little light on the finish -- this is typical of a lot of 2005 Napa cabs I've tasted. The vintage doesn't seem like it would stand up as long as some others (such as the 2003), but it's a thoroughly enjoyable bottle now and probably for the next couple of years.
