  February 3, 2011 - Dark ruby, barely bricking on edges. Nose with mocha plums. Mouth feel great with coating glycerin and soft tannins, mostly secondary flavors framing fading (i think) dark fruit. finish is lengthy and nice. depends on your preference: to some this will have seen better days (more fruit driven before), to others a perfectly aged and surprisingly nice merlot. this is a birthday wine, so hoping that the remaining six will hold as many years, but skeptical tonight...
