  February 23, 2011 - Deep, yet bright purple, poured from the bottle through a Vinturi and enjoyed over 2 -3 hours. This wine had enough character and backbone to follow a bluecheese-bacon wedge salad and enjoyed with a fillet and creamed spinach course. Blessed with generous aromas of blackberries, cassis, dark chocolate and a hint of oak. Smooth and velvety, with well balanced tannins in symphony with plenty, fruity goodness that kept us pouring all night long. The finish was perfect: smooth and lingering, surprising us once again with the recurrent theme of blackberries, cassis and dark chocolate. This is one of the BIG boys!
