  October 8, 2011 - Clear, medium plus purple with a hint of garnet on the edge. The nose is clean and of medium plus intensity. It reveals black fruit (blackberry and black currant), and some evidence of maturiity (baked fruits, tobacco). The nose is developing. The palate is dry, with medium acidity, alcohol and body. The tannins, flavor intensity and length are medium plus. The palate is consistent with the nose, except that herbal (mint) and pungent spice (liquorice) components predominate. Overall this is a very good wine which drinks well above its price point. Drink now, but has potential for ageing further.
