  October 24, 2011 - Opened, but not decanted, for about 60 minutes before drinking. Strong aromas of dark cherries, brambles and warm leather. The palate is smooth and warm with a lovely tannic, fruity fullness. Quite a bitter apple skin finish but this does fade slowly into dark fruit and apple pie. I have two more and will probably leave another 2-3 years before the next one, it has some edges to lose.
