  November 24, 2011 - Big, dense and powerful, and a little overwhelming at first with some oaky bitterness and a little alcoholic warmth sticking out in the first few sips. With air it integrates beautifully, combining dark chocolate, plums, black cherries, vanilla and well integrated oak accents into a very rich but well balanced package. There's tremendous power and persistence here, and while it's not the sort of wine I'd want to reach for every day, it's great to sit down with and enjoy over a few hours.
