  December 31, 2011 - Finesse rather than power - very classy. More in the fruit than the earthy register but very refined and balanced - cassis, blackberry with some forest floor, slight mint and flowers. Could easily be mistaken as a high end Bordeaux. Velvety tannins almost make you forget they are there. Hints of further complexity to come in the lengthy finish. Beautiful bottle now - will likely get even better over the next 5-10 years.
