  December 24, 2011 - Drank w/family at David & Lisa's for X-Mas Eve dinner. PnP, then let breathe for 2+ hrs. Rich, opulent, dry & full-bodied (which became more pronounced as it sat in the glass), nicely balanced acidity, tannins a bit firm that could use a little more time in bottle to fully integrate, and a lingering finish. Notable black cherry, red berry fruit, vanilla, oak & touch of licorice. Well received by most at dinner, w/few finding it a bit too dry later in the evening. This will drink well for another 3-5 years, and/or decant for at least 2 hours before drinking.
