December 22, 2006 - Consumed with grilled chicken, spinach, orzo, and feta. In the glass, clear and medium red, slowly fading to orange-tinted red at the rim. On the nose, initially closed, but warmed up over the course of a couple of hours to provide a nice pinot aroma. Also closed on the palate initially, but evolved over the course of the evening to provide a silky mouthfeel coupled with typical Burgundy flavors. However, the finish was clipped and mouth-puckeringly sour, and remained so after significant airtime. Good wine with food, but the finish was just too dry for us.
