  June 21, 2012 - The nose started with herbal overtones on black fruit and even some smokey, meaty notes. The color was deep, almost black, red and the body was full and rich. The palate came across with big black fruit balanced by earthy minerality and acidity with gentle tannins coming across in the medium to long finish. Bay leaf was my impression of the "leafy" nose noted in earlier notes. An excellent wine!
