August 25, 2012 - Very good, but somewhat disappointing given the vintage. A lot of red berry on the nose, palate of tart cherry and plum. Tannin has integrated. A bit low on acid. Finish long and clean. Light in mouth feel, but no real perfume to elevate this. Does not taste particularly of Volnay, could be CA. Has several years left, so might improve, but I am guessing it does not have a lot of upside.
