September 19, 2012 - 375ml bottle. 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Nice nose. Forward and intense. Notes of forest floor, cassis, dark cherry, and sweet plum with mild oak. Vanilla chocolate aftertaste. Medium-bodied with smooth and sweet tannins. Good viscosity with slightly grainy texture which I adore (texture is similar to Pauillac de Latour 2009). Superb balance with little hard edges. 14% alcohol with no heat. Fruity with good acidity. This is drinking beautifully now. Very enjoyable and I can easily down a full bottle by myself. The wine may develop further and get even higher score a few years down the road. This is even better than the wonderful Malescot St Exupery 2009. 24 hrs after uncorked, still maintains perfect balance with sweet tannins. Fabulous wine. 96-97 pts.
