January 29, 2007 - Underwhelming and overpriced. Not a terrible wine, quite pretty actually. But considering the producer, this borders on silly. Very light weight flavors, it all seems a very diluted. Extended aeration brings more weight and broadens the palate, but I've gotten more concentration and complexity from a $20 Bourgogne. The fruit lives very much on the red side of the spectrum, with light flowery elements and -- if you concentrate -- some spices. I wouldn't be surprised if it picks up some complexity as it's still young, but I don't see any reason to buy this in the first place.
