  October 26, 2012 - From a 750ml tlv opened the previous night. Inky purple color with a bouquet dominated by aromas of bacon fat and roasted meat. Violet, spice and black fruit notes add complexity. Full-bodied with velvety tannins and flavors of dark fruit, plum, roasted meat and iron. Long finish. Impressive, and a stellar match w/Mrs. tlv's braised short ribs.
