  December 16, 2012 - Paloma makes one if my favorite merlots, but I found this year's version to be too forward and jammy. I had trouble detecting tartness others have noted to counterbalance the lush fruit, and any earthiness (some black olives) is rather subdued. Still a good full bodied merlot, and it does have an impressively long finish. 14.8% abv. Medium garnet.
