November 7, 2012 - The nose is complex and fruity showing blackberries and pomegranates in front and mint mixed with sour cherries in the background. Blackberry flavors show immediately on contact, and then the palate explodes with raspberry, sour cherry, and blueberry flavors that remind me of wines from Walla Walla. All of the fruit lingers long. When sipping and spitting, the tannins become a bit too big, but this is an easy wine to savor. When you drink it slowly, they are full, but they rise slowly and they give good contrast to the juicy mid palate. The acidity has some lime character to it, and strawberry flavors linger high on the palate as the wine finishes. This delivers fantastic complexity and flavor for an entry level Nebbiolo.
