Burgundynick Likes this wine: 90 points
March 3, 2013 - I decanted and then poured back into the bottle. What a nose! It has mulberries, leather, violets, spice, fruit, I could sniff that all night, and all before it got into the glass. Then I was a tad disappointed as it was a bit lean and acidic. So I waited a few minutes and tried again. This time, forgetting it was a Cdp, I really was surprised it wasn't a burgundy. Red cherry, raspberry, well integrated and smooth, even with a slightly acidic bite. Finish is red fruit but a little bit of the tartness just gets in the way. 90 points, although it would be a point or two higher if the acidity wasn't there, but there are years left to drink my remaining bottles and I'm looking forward to them
