  March 23, 2013 - 4th Saturday group "uptown" tasting (Rich & Dana's): Pale straw color. Aroma of yeast, and dried out Play-Doh, as well as an odd herbal note- like rosemary but not quite. The play-Doh note is dominant and I had trouble getting much beyond it. Full-bodied, with lovely pear, apple, toast and cocnut milk flavors. Has some oak, but it's nicely balanced by the fruit. Good structure; long finish. Terrific palate; not so good bouquet. This was definitely new world, and knowing the cellar it came from, I guessed 2008 Peter Michael Chard.
