April 24, 2013 - Velvet crimson. Light brown edges.
Fresh colors, but surprisingly light and transparent.
Beautiful, complex and fresh nose with aromas of ripe, red and juicy fruits as Berries (even some Strawberry), Cherries and red Currants. Marmalade.
Some earthy and crushed rock characteristics. Dark chocolate.
Hints of fresh Herbs, Nutmeg and Oak. Really nice and inviting!
Flavors of fresh fruit compote of mostly Red Berries and Black Currant. Young Leather and Cloves.
Finishes nicely and medium-long with present acidity, integrated, soft tannins and round spiciness.
Firm, fresh with a perfect mouthfeel.
A full-bodied and perfectly balanced wine, which is driven by its youth and freshness. Nicely integrated tannins. Even though it is quite complex now, there is still lots of room for the development of more flavor depth.
Drink it now or keep it for another 5 to 10 years.
