  July 23, 2013 - Decanted for 3+ hours. Dark ruby red. Nose is pleasant blackcurrants with a little smokiness. Palate is rich, smooth with notes of maturity but quite a noticeable fruit left. Ripe black berries and cassis, a hint of black pepper and some smoke. A powerful taste that lingers for minutes, but lacks a little in complexity. Much better than expected, will most likely survive a few more years of cellaring but if you're not a fan of really mature wines drink soon.
