January 12, 2014 - Sat in the bottle for 1 hour after the cork was popped. Dark purple / garnet color, high viscosity. Intoxicating, lush black and blueberry nose, no noticeable alcohol despite its richness (good).

Full-bodied in the mouth, as expected with that color and nose. Some tannins, but generally subtle and smooth - will integrate better with a few more years in bottle. More black and blueberries and cassis, a hint of cocoa and tobacco.

Not sure it's worth the tariff (US$70) but it's a nice cab, very much in the new world mold.
