  March 28, 2014 - I really liked this wine but it confused me. I have been a fan of Shafer's Cabs for many years. Had I not known what this wine was, I would have thought it a Shiraz, with notes of blueberry, vanilla, peppers dominating. The alcohol - 15% - comes through but it is a lovely, harmonious wine with a lovely soft texture and a lengthy finish. Maybe it's just been a long week and I need to open another bottle tomorrow evening! Lovely but perplexing wine!
