June 13, 2014 - Requires a touch of decanting, 30 mins helped for sure as the wine was very tight on open. Post this it was an old school well made claret, albeit at times rustic and with a grippy tannin only 1996 could produce. Still the fruit is there, the nose opened nicely and was just the treat. Very good old school claret and very good value for money. 92 and drinks well now and with a good 10 yrs of good life in it at least.
