August 29, 2014 - Developed, elegant nose, very minerally with granite, hints of oyster. Citrus, grape and modelling clay. Gently oaky. Very appealing and fresh.
Fullish, spicy, toasty oaky palate. Still austere in style but with developed aromas. Dry, determined, balanced, well-structured. Very good wine.
Tasted blind, this turned out to be the second bottle of the same wine. This was much more steely and austere. This could be cellared further. The producer has a solid reputation, but no star from Clive Coates. To taste a ready Perrières for 45 Euro must be considered a bargain.
