December 6, 2014 - I was fortunate enough to acquire a whole case of this almost a year ago at a wine auction. I first opened a bottle last night and found it is really fantastic with a pleasingly bold nose crossing between pepper and over-ripe plums, falls on the tonque with a really pleasing surprise, and throws back to a great finish! Okay, so I'm pretty nuts about it, now the question I need help in answering: How long will it cellar? I've still got 10 bottles (I foolishly gave one as a gift), and I want to prolong the pleasure as long as possible! How long?

    12/6/14, 7:03 PM - Good question! (sorry).
Haven't had your particular wine, but I have had Amarones that were 20+ years old and still very much alive and well. I tend to like them best around 15 years or so, when the raisony character has backed off a bit and the secondary flavours are more apparent, but obviously depends on the producer. Sounds like yours is not likely to decline anytime soon.
