  December 10, 2014 - A pretty classic "Oregon" Pinot. Bright cherry cola out the gate, easing into some light spice and forest floor notes. At first it had an unbalanced flavor to it. Too much candied cherry and an odd bitterness on the finish. It took an hour to gain some of the verve I was hoping for and it was wonderful with the garlicy/anchovy/sausage pasta I had. It has a solid weight too it but still manages to be light on its feet.
  Overall, I had hoped for something a tad more complex. It has the telltale Oregon Pinot qualities in spades but stops short of being truly great, though the balance and texture are well crafted.
