December 14, 2014 - Great new world expression. The fact that it wasn't a "text book" CA chard is what I appreciated most about it. It was balanced squarely between CA weighty oak and French intense minerality. Lots of depth and complexity. Lemon curd, floral honey scented stone fruit, caramel and pollen. Very expressive nose, lush texture and a lingering finish. I would pair with a seafood dish with a balance of richness and acidity (Seared scallops with citrus vinaigrette).
