  December 28, 2014 - decanted 30 min (& then power went out. waited 1.5 hours, made dinner by candle & torchlight, so ultimately 2 hours before consumed). color beautiful crimson (by candlelight); nose is restrained but complex, wild herbs, kirsch & wild raspberries, seaweed, hot stones, cigar wrapper, toasted fennel seeds; med+ weight; concentrated & reserved on palate, showing a bit weedy & still crunchy tannins, very pure grenache fruit middle, wild bramble fruits, iron ore, seemed to evolve positively over dinner. really appreciated its reserved but complicated personality, very food-friendly. recommended for drinking in the dark.
