June 29, 2017 - From the Rare Wine Company. Light red, tawny rim. Menthol and plum. Medium weight, which is to say quite elegant in current Chateauneuf terms. Gorgeous faded, yet perfectly ripe red fruit, citrus, and soil with tremendous bolstering acidity. Walks a fine line between sunny fruit of the south and more mineral, savory elements. Tannins are no longer a factor. The best bottle of this I've tried and one of the more impressive, complex, mature Chateauneufs I've had over the past few years. Ah, 2001-as opposed to 2007, 2009, etc.

7/1/17, 8:51 AM - I love this wine. Pre Cambie Donjon is great. Glad to see it still goes strong. Thanks for the note.
