  August 14, 2008 - I was surprised by the tannins that remain after 12 years, but they didn't interfere with my enjoyment of this wine. Abundant, if not particularly complex fruit. For some reason, this wine's biggest problem for me was that it felt quite hot, despite having only 13-point-something percent alcohol. I've been drinking California Cabernets that approach 15 percent lately, without experiencing this problem.
