Cool cherry aromas. Tight, narrow and structured on the palate, with pronounced acidity. More Burgundy style than Beaujolais.

5th of 8 bottles, enjoyed this bottle at home as we were cooking family dinner.
"Goes down easy", said my father. This pretty, delicious and judiciously flavored Chardonnay is just right.
Orchard fruits, a hint of citrus and salinity, and a spicy topnote, make it interesting and tasty.
The acidity is ample for a clean yet slightly luxurious finish. Drink through 2028+.

Dark ruby almost brown color on the glass. Th wine needs time to breathe once opened, else it's pretty harsh. Once sufficiently aerated, it has Ripe red fruit on the nose. Medium body on the tongue, with some tannins and spice on a medium finish.

A treat of a bottle. Rich and deep nose & body was complex and fun to enjoy.
Tobacco, licorice and dried cherry on the nose and then all appeared on the palate.
Also a good dose of almond and chocolate with some black pepper as well.
Luscious is the best way to describe the body and experience here.

Deep ruby red. Beautiful nose of ripe cassis, slight oak. In the palate, smooth tannins and juicy ripe fruits appear, well balanced, slight tobacco leaves. Really delicious and still going strong! Should last quite a few more years! Will keep other till next year (if I can wait!). Long finish.

Yes, it’s early days but given a 2 hour double decant the prior day and cork left out the bottle a couple of hours this didn’t feel like vinfanticide
Plenty of minty cassis on both nose and palate, this was all about the fruit which has nice depth and vibrancy.
Give it 5years and onwards and it’ll be great

What a treat to enjoy this bottle with my son & wife. Upon opening the bottle we were greeted to a cork in perfect condition.
The color was garnet, brick and clearly displayed the 19 years in the bottle. Beautiful.
The initial nose told us we were in store for a great evening. Complex out of the shoot and changing over the next couple hours there was so much here. Fig, Raisin, black tea, tar or even soy sauce.
Second wave brought chocolate, dried cherry and even cherry cola.
Flavors followed suit here with the raisin, Fig, chocolate & cola carrying forward. Late in the bottle it seemed like some of the fruit was almost rehydrated with some more cherry emerging.
Wonderful bottle & experience.

Short note - had with diner.
Very nice Sassicaia.
Colder vintage profile - a tidy wine.
Its like a left bank Bdx. with Tuscan red earth added.
Currant and pencil shavings, touch of red sand and dust, herbs, spices traces of vanilla.
Balanced and elegant, good length and in a vg drinking window.

This wine still does not do it for me.
It should be better, given it's address.
It's a vintage thing I believe but combined with the winemaking.
Still too much hands on winemaking along with too much extraction and heat.
Jam and alcohol, lacking the cool Hermitage Syrah I prefer.
This acts more like a Southern Rhône wine made from Zinfandel or perhaps as a California made "wine".
No finesse to be found.

So Selosse - you can't miss this having it served blind.
All it takes is one breath and you immediately know who made this wine.
Great nose, oxidative, sherry notes, wet hay but with fine ripe pear and apple fruit, newly cracked nuts, orange blossoms and a touch of smoke.
Palate shows pears and yellow apples, honey, nuts and cream, with medium acidity and a great and long finish.
Vinous and complex as great as Selosse can be.

Magnificent bottle
Nose with roses, red berries, some blue fruit, Cherries, Christmas spices, minerals, sous - bois and wet forest floor with some truffle.
Palate is super textured, velvety with cherries and raspberries, spicy and semi mature with very good body and length.
Very sexy and very well made Echézéaux!
Best A.-F. I have had.
Will keep, still only middle aged.

First bottle of the CdC - 08.
And what a start!
Nose is shy , white flowers lemons, lime, green apple, rubber, pepper and chalky minerals.
Palate is also a bit closed, comes along with more time (but it was not given enough time, since I had to drink it) lemons and lime, green apples, a touch of zest.
Creamy chalky minerals and high acidity - long finish.
To early imo, tight and closed at this stage, undeveloped and will require more time, but excellent material - this will come around and turn into a classic.

Another excellent wine from KaJo.
Diesel/petroleum, ripe citrus and flowers.
Perfectly balanced between the acidity and sugar.
Great wine (albeit perhaps not as complex and deep as the UW) indeed, with plenty of pleasure in the coming years.
Prost!

Wow! I was unsure if this would be open for business but indeed it was! With a short decant of two hours this wine was really singing. The DRC in my opinion has a certain perfume to it just like some other notable producers like Coche, Rayas and for example, Liger Belair. The Echezeaux might be the smallest one in the lineup. But when you put it against other top domains in burgundy, the pedigree of the DRC really stands out in my opinion. 2009 has a sweet nose with loads of DRC characteristics which I always find hard to describe. It is somehow herbaceous, sweet and acid driven at the same time . This makes for a complex nose which you can smell for hours and hours. On the palate it offers up a sweet attack, medium body, some tannins left but they are very mature and nonobtrusive. The finish is very very long and is driven by both the fruit and the acidity. The 2009 vintage seems to be a winner with DRC and you cannot sense the warmness of the vintage in this Wine. It is very elegant and refined. I will however wait another 5 to 10 years to drink the last bottle as I’m sure it will develop very nicely.

Second bottle in three months. I really like the 1996 vintage for its classic restrained fruit and typical left bank aromas which become so well defined in this vintage. Leoville Las Cases is as always the biggest and most complex of all the Leovilles. It really outshown competition in 1996. This is clearly Premier Cru quality and it might just be imagination, but the nearness to Latour can be noticed in the glass. Great wine!

This might have been an a slightly off bottle. I thought I sensed a bit of overmature fruit and a slight vinegar smell. The cork looked great but somehow I wasn’t captivated by the nose. There was something slightly dirty and funky about it. Other tasters thought it was a very good wine.

Second time in 2 months. This last bottle was outstanding. Very clean and Classic mature warm vintage bordeaux. Mature aromas are bursting from the glass with cow stable, leather and pleasing funk. Medium body with underlying sweetness from the warm vintage. Extremely well-balanced. I would say this is now at full maturity and will not develop into a more complex Wine. In the end of its drinking window.

In a fantastic spot right now. Full nose of petroleum and lime. You can definitely tell on the nose that this is a mature Riesling from a top producer. The sweetness from the spatlese has calmed down and the Wine is very well integrated on all parameters. Long piercing finish driven by the acidity.

At 24 years of age, this is now a very good example of the Classic, 2000 vintage. Classic nose of pencil shavings, blackcurrants and some pleasing green notes on top. Medium body and very elegant. Flowing easily over the palate and finishing with a clean, acid driven mouth feel. Tannins are very much in the background.

Albeit a young mine, these two bottles delivered big time. Classic, nose of cedar tree, blackcurrants and a bit of smoke. Still not developed into the majestic nose of older Latour. It is a joy to drink. Big frame and perfect balance between the sweet fruit and the well integrated acidity. Tannins are mature and not obtrusive at all.
