Still quite purple, cassis and spice on the nose but a little lifted. Some acid, soft full tannins. Not quite integrated but coming together.

A well-behaved wine. Well made, relatively modern, clearly 100 destemmed, lovely balance, ripe fruit and freshness, well-judged oak. Perhaps more solid than exciting, but that is exactly what I woul expect from a Santenay.

Adam and I did not finish our glasses. Nothing wrong with it, just not good enough to drink and enjoy.

The nose is fragrant and charming, with old rose, a little plum and red cherries. On the palate, similarly charming, very civilized and understated, with blackcurrant, a little cranberry and redcurrant, then some plums and vanilla. This could have been a bad bottle, but I found it lacked intensity and the velvety power I would expect from a LLC. On the basis of this bottle, perhaps starting to fade and I wonder if it wouldn't have been better a few years ago. Still a delicious wine, but there are better 01s and for four times less than the current price, CDM 00 is a lot better.
So if you have some, try one, if you haven't and are thinking about buying one, don't.

Had this bottle with some friends and wow! Fantastic bottle with integrated tannins and a smooth and complex finish. This bottle was exceptional and the first of two purchased on release. Looking forward to my last bottle of this.

Burnt tire which blew off to a smokey, reductive nose. Interesting palate.

Clearly from a warm vintage. Medium-full-bodied with lots of minerality and ripe apple notes. 12.5% ABV.

Rotbeerig, indbesondere Erdbere, Kirsche. Leichtgewichtig. Mit Luft mehr und mehr Aromatik. Ein Leichtgewicht aber elegant und ausgeglichen und voll intakt. Moderate 12,5 % Vol.

Very complex nose of spice and floral notes. The palate is rather dark, but intense, with interesting green and mineral notes to provide freshness and complexity. Again, spices on the finish (I guess this is a Marsannay thing) with a strong hint of salt (I guess this is a Pataille thing -- I notice it in a lot of his wines). Delicious and intense (though I do prefer Chapitre personally).

A bit past it's prime mute still floral as hell. Drank well into day 2. Fruit was gone and all that was left were the end of tertiary notes. 5 years ago it would have been a stunner.

This is a little darker, though still floral on the nose with a plummy, dark fruit on the palate. There is still some interesting stemmy notes, spices, and pepper, with a saline finish, but it seems a little more monolithically fruit than the La Chapitre. Still good, but a little simple in comparison.

These have matured into amazingly good wines. Hard to drink young but now subtle and silky.

A very fine pinot noir, but it may not appeal to the drinker expecting a more modern styled pinot noir. It is certainly very pretty on the nose, but on the palate, it is very much tart forward with generous acidity. It has less of the strawberry/cherry typical of Russian River, and more cranberry/raspberry. Does not have the complexity that one may expect from such a famed vineyard in a great vintage, but it was still very tasty.

Dark red cherries and floral notes on the nose. On the palate, dark red fruit, hints of stems, spices, pepperiness, and salt on the finish. Lean and limber, driving acid, a taut mineral spine, and delicacy on the palate. This is fabulous; incredible complexity.

I almost feel silly to write just another tasting note on this cheap wine that I bought at Denner. It is extremely good. Aroma of tropic fruits. Floral, too. Almost a soapy aroma that I get from coriander. Smoothness and acidity is extremely well balanced. Very very long finish. It is very dry with a fruity core that tricks our mind to think it has a touch of slight sweetness. There is a salinity, too.

Well, just when you think you’ve had outstanding Cabs from Walla Walla, this one will still pleasantly surprise you. All the classic hallmarks are there, but there is an added layer of allure and depth. Can’t wait to revisit on a few years.

Rhubarb and charcoal on the nose. Quite dense and concentrated. Tertiary fruit characters from the nose but with a green herbal twist. Slightly unusual profile. Very smooth. Medium bodied - a food wine.

Retail $50. Heavy Bottle (). Under cork. You could probably count the number of wines I have tried from Arizona on one hand and if you exclude the wines from Aridus, well, I would not need a hand at all. This, however, *is* the first Cab Franc and it is pretty fantastic. I expected a bunch of fruit, not much acidity, and well, not much more. A funny thing happened: good fruit, a bit of earth, an herbal note, and plenty of tartness. Yeah, this is pretty darned good. 91 Points.

Though 2022 not a fruit bomb like Cuvée L, more like a tamed beauty , needs more time let it rest until 2025.

Impulse Purchase @ Total Wine
I was seeking a Ste Michelle Gewurztraminer that I had previously had good results with (I recently had a Boeckel Gewurztraminer Midelberg that was good, but found a little too sweet for my taste). Total Wine did not have Ste Michelle Gewurz, but suggested a Ste Michelle (off-dry) Reisling. I opted for their 'Dry' Reisling instead of the 'Off-Dry."
13.0% abv - $10

Served @ 10c/50F with Sauteed Shrimp over Fettuccine and Salad.

Pale yellow on the pour and in the glass. Nose of citrus and white flowers. Light-bodied, citrus on the palate with some peach notes. Pleasant acidity refreshing the palate. Just a hint of sweet, any more sweetness would detract from the overall impression and experience. Nice, pleasantly tart finish!
Excellent accompaniment to the shrimp pasta entree. Spouse Endorsed; I'll get more.

My 2nd Goodfellow wine this week. The other reviews are spot on. Delicious, gulpable and I wish I’d ordered six cases of this stuff, and not six bottles. Also, this has a beautiful, unique color.
