Very delicious forward fruit; not much complexity. Nice length and balance. Youngish but drinking very well. Although this will improve hard to tell by how much. Will revisit in a couple of years.

Not tasted this since June 2021.
It is still drinking very well.
Similar characteristics with some black pepper on the palate.
Tastes very fresh.
Couple of bottles left and this should be fine until 2030.

Drinking well. A bit interesting, and not your typical white. Cheers!

Really like this, and drink well with nice fruit. It there is one negative, I would say that there is a touch too much vanilla flavor, but overall not really a problem. Cheers!

Consistent with my note from 15 months ago,, I do feel ths is just entering the later stages of its prime drinking window. Blueberry and bell pepper are prominent, with a deeply aromatic nose and decent balance and depth on the palate. As noted last time, as the fruit has faded, the finish has been compromised, and is a little astringent. Minimal decanting is needed.

Fresh, mineral and lifted. White floral, menthol and a gently tart green apple acidity make this a soothing drink.

A one hour cold decant helped this a lot.

Compared to the 2013, more elegant and refined.

Lively, red fruit on both the nose and palate with a zesty/spicy quality on the mid-palate. Very little oak. A really fun expression of Sta. Rita Hills, and will reach for this in the future.

Very dry and mineralic, only a hint of strawberry, some herbs, vanilla. Beautiful pale rose in the glass.

First encounter with Dolcetto, this sweet little grape from Piedmont. And what a delightful acquaintance it turned out to be! This is a soft and tannic wine – not at all sweet as the grape's name would suggest – with well-balanced acidity and a wonderfully juicy berry character. The aromas are dominated by blackberries, black currants, and cherries with hints of licorice and a touch of cinnamon. The flavor is dominated by cherries along with earthy dark fruit. Long and almost slightly nutty finish (marzipan?). Really, really delicious!

Needs about 1 hr in decanter and then ready to go. Modern styled Bordeaux with bigger legs and dark fruit: blackberries, blueberries, tobacco, coffee, chocolate, and tar on the nose, palate smoothened after decant, similar dark fruit, licorice, tobacco and chocolate on the palate with slightly edgy tannins, however balanced and decadent. Medium slightly bitter finish. Good wine.

Wow! Requires at least one hour decant. Lots of life left and what a treat. Equals any Red Burgundy Volnay or Vosne-Romanee.

Popped just ten minutes ago, and its nose has that slightly funky fresh sweat thing, almost musky, in a good way.

Lovely concentration, almost juicy fruited, but balanced nicely with a mineral acidity & savoury/bitter nuttiness at the back (stalky?). Very fine powdery tannin dries the finish. Definitely some spice in there too. I'll still have some of this around tomorrow night, so I'll add anything significant if it offers up anything much different.

A good Cote du Py.

unfortunately I think this bottle was a bit past peak. it never really performed up to its potential after opening. just a bit flat. not bad by any means but IMO should have opened this a few years ago. will finish remaining bottles.

Roasted red fruits, chalky minerality, sweet, fresh raspberries after some time in the glass; a finesse driven style, fresh but with good substance and very "Chinon". Already drinking beautifully. Lovely wine. 17.5/20

Color: Medium yellow. Nose: Herbs and peppermint. Mouth: Very lean and dry. That's right upon my ally. Just the right amount of acidity. Excellent expressiveness and length. Pink grapefruit in the finish. Passion fruit. A slight aroma of honey Bought at Coop.

A domaine that flies under the international radar, but that delivers very decent and sometimes excellent wines. Les Chaumées is a cool vineyard high up on the hill, and very good producers have holdings here. In 2019 "chez Jouard" this is a pretty big wine - a full 15% ABV on the label. The weight and concentration are clearly noticeable but they does not throw the wine off kilter - there is sufficient acidity and minerally energy for balance. The fruit is very ripe but fresh, and the tropical edge is attractive. The oak is present but well-judged. The aromatic expression is limited - the price to pay for all that ripeness and power, and also a limitation on the score. No point in keeping this - drink soon.

Coravin. Light-med ruby, slight bricking typical for nebbiolo, overall a bit more purple/darker than the 2018 Bricco della Viole; medium intensity aromatics, not as pretty and red fruited as BdV, a little black cherry and violets; the palate is really where this shines, light bodied but with a dense sweetness and purity of fruit throughout, youthful tannins but surprisingly well integrated and very drinkable, alcohol is listed as 14.5% but integrated better than BdV, a bit of black cherry and early savory soy; finish is medium-plus to long and slightly tannic. Vajra is always impeccable, totally different profile than the BdV so in some ways not really comparable. I love the red fruitedness and elegance of BdV, but this Ravera seems so phenomenally well put together and full of life and intensity that I enjoy it as well. 92+, lovely Barolo for the price.
With air and time, better and better. Tannins are a bit more pronounced though. Stellar barolo. 93+

Ruby red in color. 13.4% ABV. Beautiful nose of red fruits, baking spices and flowers. Light to medium body with exquisite acidity. Impeccably balanced. Bursting with bright, earthy fruits. Bing Cherry, cranberry, black tea and minerals on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish. Beguiling Pinot Noir that should age well. Best over the next 6-8 years.

Nice chard, if tasting a bit clunky to me with a bit too much oak. The underlying citrus was nice and the finish and mouthfeel were great so I might wait a bit on bottles and see if the fruit emerges a bit more as the oak integrates further. That being said, other dinner companions thought it was terrific so I was in the minority not being too wowed.

Pale lemon colour. Medium and developing nose with ripe yellow apples, ripe lemon, rosehip, charred wood and walnuts. Medium taste of ripe yellow apples, lemon, rosehip, cream, charred wood and walnuts. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good South-African Chardonnay. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well with fish or shellfish.

Portuguese time. Aromas of red fruit, dried herbs, gunpowder, blueberry, cassis, mint, and dried Indian spices. After some time, it had a pleasant perfume. On the palate, the wine had flavours of violet, cherry, black fruit, red licorice, pepper, menthol, and salt. The nose was complex, but the palate was not quite as intricate; nonetheless, still a nice wine. Soft tannins with medium minus acidity.
