This was significantly better than expected thanks to the bright acidity that offset somewhat the dosage. That being said, it was still far too sweet for my personal preferences but it was fun to try!

This is always great. It’s a great example of a ready to drink, not over the top, Bordeaux, from a fairly ripe vintage, I might add. This has classic red and black cherries, and plenty of soil and mineral traits. It’s picking up secondary traits as well; aged tobacco, forest floor, air dried mahogany, furniture shop, etc. I love it as a classic Bordalais exemplar, it’s balanced, with pure fruit, and so many big pieces, that add no weight at all! Really terrific.

Pink onion skin colour. Nicely matured, with aromas of soft berry fruits and more on the palate, rounded, nice acidity and a tangerine zest finish.

First time trying this producer, and it's a hit. It is elegant, supple, and delicious. As others have noted this is a bit on the rounder side of Kabinett despite it being a '21, although there is nothing fat or flabby about this wine. Excellent wine at a ridiculously low price.

Very young. Still showing great acidity. Still front and centre which makes me plan to hold onto my remaining bottles for another couple of years.
Fairly muted on the nose but might be due to stem wear.
Crisp Apple on the palate with sort of Cucumber. So clean and precise. Saline, limestone. Minerals. Citrus.
This has it all. Balance, poise, depth, complexity. Super long finish. Lasted 60+ seconds.

Wow!! I didn't expect that much of this wine. The texture have a kind of purity you find in higher priced Chablis. It's sharp, little catpiss acidity but nothing to much. It's soooo easy to drink this wine, so smooth

Light pale straw hue that opens with floral aromas. Citrus, tropical notes followed by slight salinity and coconut. No flaws and great QPR.

The wine is clear, almost water. Nose is subtil, lemon ish.

It's a really easy wine to drink. It have the acidity to drink it with crab legs but it's easy enough to drink it on the side of the pool on a hot summer day

Pure red fruit - very much a CA Chambolle. Harmonious and ready to drink but a long life ahead.

Not for keeping, a Blaufrankisch with crunchy textured red berry fruit and lush red cherries that leads into white pepper notes and a tangy finish.

A great merlot-dominant Bordeaux blend from the Osoyoos area that straddles a fine line between old and new world sensibilities. A big nose of oak guides a symphomy of ever so slightly stewed dark fruit onto the palate, rich with tones of blackberry, bramble and plum alongside an accompaniment of vanilla, toasted caramel and dark cherry. The mouthfeel holds chalk and tobacco textures in a velvet embrace that plays nicely with the powerful and far-reaching tannins. Drink now or cellar it for a few years. The QPR here isn't fantastic, but if you catch it on sale I'd say it's definitely worthwhile.

I bought half a case of the 2021 for a ridiculous giveaway price. Turns out to be the best QPR wine in my forty year wine journey. I find this wine interesting due to a recent wine I shared with my wife while dining in DC while on vacation. The wine was a a 2021 Caymus. Nice wine, easy drinking excellent fruit but no real structure or tannins. It was fat and flabby (too young?). Well upon opening this Peju ‘21, nose and flavor nearly identical to the Caymus….but…the Peju had an excellent mouth feel with medium soft tannins, black and blue fruit with a strong cherry backbone with a nice textural finish with some hang time. I don’t usually consume cabs that are less than 5-7 years old but this wine was a remarkably made beauty. Peju will be on my radar going forward and I am confident the remaining five bottles will age and mature well.

Excellent Scheu. Unfortunately this wine seems to have an issue with cork. 2 out of 4 bottles had it.

Nose: berries, cherry, oak and earthy note.

Palate: Cherry, dark berries, strawberry, toasted oak, a touch of vanilla, earthy notes with some mushroom. Medium ripe tannins. Medium plus acidity and a long lingering finish.

Lots of light fruit to be found and a nice splash of oak. There are already some nice tertiary aromas starting to form. Although already very enjoyable, I would prefer it to develop a bit further. One of my friends found it to be just the right amount of Tertiary aromas. Really nice complexity and length. Great wine that punches above its appellation, you're better off spending your money on this than a GC from an average producer.

Elegant and super smooth mouth feel. Lots of dark cherry, some fig and peppery notes. In a great spot.

Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of light ruby colour, with wide garnet rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of red fruit of plum and sour cherries, black fruit of blackberry, floral notes of rose, sweet spice of nutmeg, pungent spice of liquorice, oak notes of cedar, mineral notes of tar. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium tannin of ripe and smooth texture, medium (+) in alcohol, with medium (+) body, with medium (+) flavours of red fruit of plum and ripe cherries, black fruit of blackberry, sweet spice of nutmeg, oak notes of toast. The wine has a medium (+) finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Barolo which opens beautifully after one day. The nose is intense with good complexity, with a nice range of aromas but still relatively young and not fully demonstrating its potential and development. On the palate it has great structure and finesse, with good body, tannin and acidity which demonstrates tremendous ageing potential, having good concentration in flavours as well as a good length on the finish. While it is ready to drink now given sufficient airing, it is best to allow for 3-5 years to further develop.

Decanted for 8 hours (no trace of sediment), the Cuvee Viva poured into the glass as a delightful ruby red wine, possessing all the attributes that the average wine-lover craves: a pleasant, mouth-filling flavor that paired beautifully with the Chateaubriand on our plates. While its tannins were pleasantly soft, it did not lack balance and strength of character. Excellent value for the money!

Ruby red in color. 14.8% ABV. Pretty nose of red fruits, citrus, baking spices and forest floor. Medium body with medium acidity. Well balanced with rich, earthy fruits. Strawberry, cranberry, blood orange and earth on the palate. The finish is long and smooth. Charming Pinot Noir that is easy to drink. Best over the next several years.

Purchased as a cooking wine on promotion at Maxima in Rīga at €3.69, which after excise and VAT are deducted, leaves a gross income of less than €2.14 for the retailer. Medium particle conglomerate cork. The deepish, dark cherry skin colour still has some crimson to it. A simple and anonymous nose of dark, slightly stewed berry doesn't spell Spain or tempranillo, except for the use of American wood. The palate is slightly jammy and the 6 months in American oak shows in no uncertain terms. While the finish is harsh, there is very good concentration and an honest rusticity that gives it some appeal. Quite good and a bargain at the price paid.

My first 100% pinot blanc champagne. There's no information on the bottle except "Brut", and none on the producer website except that malolactic fermentation is completed.

The wine benefits from a little air and not being too cold. The colour is a pale straw yellow; the nose has white flowers (camomile?) and herbal notes and a crisp edge. The palate follows and has quite some complexity, particularly as the wine warms. There's citrus tending towards sweet grapefruit, a creamy note, herbs (fennel?), but also some saline minerality. The overall mouthfeel is quite rich and rounded; I'm guessing a dosage of maybe 8-10g/l, but it avoids being cloying.

Overall this is a rather interesting wine. Rather different from other champagnes, and more akin to good still pinot blancs that I have tried. When quite cold it works as an aperitif; a little warmer with some seafood.

At the ~US$35 that I paid this is an interesting bottle and will be an occasional repeat buy for me, although I wish there were more information available regarding the wine.

Grande annata, per me la migliore.
Grande profondità grazie alle note terziarie che rendono naso e bocca appagate.
Intensissimo frutto al naso, ingentilito dalle note di resina e caffè.
In bocca è ricco, voluminoso, ma equilibrato.

Mott’s apple juice nose, fine bubbles, palate was nicely balanced betw fruit and well judged acidity; but that unripe green in the back note telltale sign of mediocre bunches not sorted out. a bottle off of wine list, drank half glass and shared the rest with the FH in case they might find more pleasure in it— not all are sensitive to the unripe element. People were happy to glug it so I’m sure it’s fine. Just reinforced my view Paul Bara wines are quite pedestrian.
