A bit of reduction, white peach, green apple, pear and honey. Hint of florals and herbs. Bright acids, just off-dry.

No change in rating since I tasted it a year ago. Solid, off dry riesling. Went well with roast pork wrapped in pancetta, thyme and rosemary. Solid food wine.

Not bad. Beautiful nose of white flowers, stone fruits, hints of exotic fruit and saltwater. The taste is okay with a lovely sweet layer to the flavor profile. But the mouthfeel lacks a little grip (acidity) and the finish is a little short. But all in all a good wine - perfect for drinking on its own on a warm summer evening

Well-balanced. Fruit forward with good acidity. Stone fruits and tropical on the nose. Tasting pear, a bit of mango and pineapple.

Felt not that fresh, maybe due to vintage. No wxperience with such wines but needs more acidity. 90

Beautiful, classic R nose, hints of new car interior. On the palate, very floral, meyer lemons, timothy grass and some great salinity. There's a tiny hint of the tropics in it too, like as if someone tipped 10% of Chard into it. For me, as usual, this is off dry and has sweetness for my palate, which in my view, makes the acid a teensy bit lacking, but I'm an acid freak, so might not be someone else's idea. Great wine.

Med restsukker
Dejlig balance mellem syre og sødme, frisk, frugtig, saft.

Easy-going, lightly sweet riesling with good acidity. Pleasant aromas of lemon, orchard fruit and a short-ish, minerally finish. Fine for the price ~$17, but it is on par with Dr. L which can be had for ~$10.

This is lovely
Dry but not austere
Minerals are in the foreground, supported by white fleshed fruit and some spices
All very balanced, elegant, and complex
Delightful

Much better then last vintage. Better balance with a crisp acidity. The little sweetness is a perfect match for some spicy asian dishes.

Russk. I got from Lena and brought to CDC at Deccan Spice. A white WOTN for me and others. Sweetness level 2 out of 5, but wearing it well with the counterbalancing acid. I like this producer.

Solid wine for the price; simple.

Agree with the tasting notes below so nothing new to add.

Med sweet Riesling according to IRF scale. Pairs well with hot spice like Thai food, Indian, etc. Petrol notes and hints of citrus.

Screw top. Wonderful Riesling from Rheingau, with stony minerality, beautiful white fruit, and racy acidity. Vibrant, dry, long, complex. Balanced and fresh. Can’t wait to see where this goes in 5 years.

21 year old Eiswein from an indifferent vintage? What could go wrong? The answer is nothing, as this was full of ripe, tropical fruit, blazing acidity, then a little touch of lactic, like licking a creamsicle. If you have a bottle there is no worry. This has decades of life.

Straw color, with a greenish hint. Petrol on the nose, with pear. Some acid, but it doesn’t hit me as high. Relatively sweet. I agree with the notes of lime that others have, and slight salinity.

Sort of nutty, oily, and Chardonnay-like qualities on the nose. Off dry, but good acidity which mostly brings the sweetness in check.

Solid German Riesling, but a disappointment compared to the much better 2011 I drank 5 or 6 years ago.

Perfect bottle with some cheese and crackers.

Lemon peel, crushed rock, good acidity.

On Day 2 I almost mistaken this for a New Zealand Sauv Blanc as more tropical floral notes dominated the nose and palate.

Shame I only have 1 bottle left and I think this particular wine is either not offered anymore or just simply cannot find it.

Closed on opening, but blooms into a complex Riesling of grapefruit, pear and floral/camomile notes with an intense, mineral salty texture, supported by bracing acidity. Young but drinkable and will be the delight of Riesling freaks.

9th Annual Holiday Dinner and Cellar Raid (Naperville, IL): Part of wine dinner and cellar raid so did not take detailed notes. Very nice Riesling that I haven't had in a number of years. Held up well

Great wine, especially for the price. Off dry, but still carrying acid. Would've loved to look at this wine a year or 2 ago. It's started showing some aged characters, adding some richness to the wine. A very enjoyable riesling that has drinkabilty written all over it

Didn't realise this was such a (relatively) old vintage until I added this note. Pale yellow colour. A rather toasty, saline nose albeit with adequate lime jelly. The nose carries through to the palate more than usual, a bit acrid to begin with, but there's a wonderful juicy fruit core beneath as I'd expect from this sort of wine. Salt and lime. Maybe it's been on the shelf too long but it's still vibrant and pretty good. [Screwcap; 10% abv; Villeneuve Wines, Edinburgh, £16].

Still drinking well, with notes of apple, citrus and some sweet. We ideally needed spicier food for this to show really well but it was still good.

For $16, this is a great QPR and over-delivers in almost every way. Obviously not displaying the layered complexity of top shelf Rieslings, but beautifully balanced, with nice crowd-pleasing flavors of lemon, honeysuckle, candied quince, and the slightest hint of petrol on the back end. A kiss of seeetness rounds-out the finish. Medium all the way around, but with just the right amount of energy to push the flavors forward throughout consumption. Drink now and over the next few years.

Lemon curd, lime juice, and candied orange peel. 42.3 g/L RS and 9.5% alcohol make this feel more full-bodied than the dry Austrian rieslings I usually drink. Paired with chickpea curry.

On the nose apple, lime, petrol and floral notes. On the palate its off dry, high in acidity and offers a steely minerality and a hint of salinity that balances its sweetness perfectly. Mid to long finish.

Excellent value. A bit more racy and mineral-filled than I remember previous vintages being. Comes across as almost dry, given the focused acidity.

Day 1: Light wine. Features pear, mineral, pineapple and match stick. Easy drinker and drink young.
Day2: Not much better. This is below the quality of Dr. Loosen Dr. L which is the same essential price point (a little higher)
Recommendation: By Dr. Loosen Dr. L Riesling for less. Typically $8.99 in the Minneapolis Market.

Green Apple, loads of minerality/saline, lime pith, a bit of a steely quality. Feinherb to kabinett sweetness, balanced by medium-high acidity. Green fruit and lean character. Medium finish of juicy lime, green apple, and minerality. Good.

Big sweetness that is smooth and tasty. Peach and citrus with a little tang, Very smooth middle and finish, Color is a medium golden. My 375s are developing a bit faster than I expect. Color has a slight brown shift. These will likely be best over the next 5 years even though the wine will last for a very long time

at the risk of running the price up for myself this is just spectacular value at around $25. great acid mouthwatering and just begs for another sip and another. impossible to not drink right up in 15 minutes. seriously one of the best value rieslings ive ever had. age has added maybe a little complexity and toned it down just the slightest, rounded the edges just a touch, but this could still age for a decade or more i'd imagine.
