Boston Wine & Poker, Brookline, NH: Tasted blind. Paired with the Aeris Etna Bianco. This one has a little more color, a lot more aroma. Mineral and fruit salad. Integrated acidity. Delicious. Thanks to Darren for this one.

A really quality expression here that outclassed the Chanin version of the same side by side. Had pleasant yellow apple fruit and rocks and white florals. Palate is long and sappy in the lemon spectrum with more mineral content here. Very nice.

Medium lemon colour. Medium and developing nose with yellow apples, ripe lemon, butter, toast, smoke, flint and wet stone. Medium (+) taste of yellow apples, ripe lemon, butter, toast, charred wood, flint and wet stone. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. An outstanding Sandford & Benedict Chardonnay. Needed half an hour of air to open. Drink now or over the next ten years. Goes well with fish or shellfish.

Very enjoyable but still young. This has 10 more years in it easily. Will try to wait another 2y before next bottle.

Lots of lemony acidity.

Less flavorful or concentrated than I was hoping for; maybe a bit flat or already past its prime?...

(Additional notes) This bottle did improve and gained complexity, and was very good showing more fruit and savory notes, up to a solid 89-90 on the 3rd day

Really enjoyable. Rich and fresh, with a lime squish, like a dash of riesling in the premier cru Burgundy.

Long decant. Not as good as the other bottles I’ve recently had of this one. A little too acidic and off balance, nose is lemon and a bit reductive. Post peak or just an off bottle?

First taste was pure lemon, so I put it in the decanter. Took some time to open up. Last sip was the best sip.

Lemon, ripe golden apple, saline, chalk and eventually some flint and cream on the back of the palate. Linear acid that carries the wine throughout the palate. Drink with some air or hold, you won’t be disappointed either way.

Medium gold color
Medium aromas of sweet golden apples and butterscotch with dry herbs and saline notes in background
Medium bodied with palate of apple and oak spice
Medium acidity and medium alcohol
Moderate finish dominated by fruit
This still shows a little tight to me - will wait 1-2 years for remaining bottle

Rich and elegant, quite muscular, wow wine on the attack. Packed with concentration.

Light body, minerality on offer, citrus, floral, honey, lightly roasted nuttiness. A classy, complex Chardonnay.

Candied lemon and butter cream with a front end freshness of apples and minerals with and rounded finish that lasts a decent length of time. Never go wrong with Sanford and Benedict vineyards.

Quite lean and not sharing a lot on day 1, day 2 shows a much more complete wine with lots of lemon and mineral in a taut, Burgundian package with restrained alcohol ripeness and oak to let the terroir shine, fresh acids really make this easy to drink; delicious but I know there’s even more depth and complexity lurking in there.

First Sta Rita Hills vineyard designated wine I've tried from Sandhi and this was absolutely excellent. Great acidity, but not thin with lemon and subtle cream and that salinity on the back.

2019 Sandhi Wines Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict Vineyard (10 months in puncheon barrels and 6 months in tank, 12.5%, 205 cases produced). Translucent light greenish-yellow…from a distance, one might mistake her garb for H2O. Aromas of faint, flowers, roasted almonds, yeast and citrus….adorable, friendly and softly inviting. Light-bodied, sprightly acidity, complex tropical fruits and pleasantly balanced…smooth, textured finish…a very carefree lil gal from the house next door. Easily can lay down for another 5+ years. Sir Buddy was very impressed 🐶. Grilled fish, fried morning glory and mixed veggies enjoyed the luving companionship of this elegant poppet 💃

Decanted at 16:00, enjoyed from 19:30 to 22:00. Light yellow color. Citrus fruits, a little bit of vanilla and lemon curd on the nose. In the mouth it is balanced with the same citrus notes and vanilla supported by superb minerality and acidity. Long and concentrated aftertaste. A lovely wine but I think it will be better tomorrow. Will update.

Aromatics medium. Green leaf, spice, match stick and wood stem
Palate has medium body. Acid medium +. Mild phenolics. Alcohol medium. Curry leaf, lime
Finish has medium length. Balance towards the acid
Dry glass notes of green leaf
I would hold your next bottle. Still reductive, but has amazing potential given structure.

No significant development. Rich nose of citrus fruits, mostly lemons. Crisp, yet full. Gentle oak, butter. Seashells. A really beautiful nose, balanced.
Pronounced acidity. More of a tart lemon note on the palate with the oak in the background. The oak becomes more prominent with rising temperature. A powerful wine, lots of body weight. After a couple of hours some popcorn.
Drinks really well, high quality.

Intellectually this is a fine wine, the anti Rombauer with med+ acidity, minerality, and the elements to please wine aficionados who post on message boards. But this just didn’t bring me joy or make me want to reorder.

Mørkere strågul.

Strågul.

Lett fat og dyp sitrus og tropisk frukt. Mineralitet/saltpreg. Tyder på fedme.

Syren dominerer. Litt skarp med undervelt av frukt, selv om konsentrasjonen er høy. Lett oljete. Lett fatpreg.

Litt kantete med høy konsentrasjon. Matvin. Kvalitet, men ikke kosevin.

Pale yellow and color. Very acidic and briney with a saline quality. Not very much fruit. Maybe a hint of lemon zest. Pleasant but overall fell flat for me

American theme at Jungle Boy: Very reductive and a hint of oak on the nose. This was full of minerality and probably the most Burgundian of all the whites. Reminded me of a Kumeu River Hunting Hill with the dominant sweet citrus fruit, but better. Didn’t manage to guess the producer in time but very much classic Sandhi.

A very good effort and not many current US chardonnay's can last 10 years and still drink this young. Vibrant fruit, good acidity and loads of flavors. A good amount richer than white burg so this is what it is - its a new world Chardonnay made in an old world fashion. Not overly extracted and plenty of elegance. Leesy and spicy. Great concentration and complexity yet restrained. At peak but no signs of decline.

I opened for Sunday night dinner for the first time in almost a year. This is a beautiful bottle of wine. White flowers on the nose. The palate is stone fruit, papaya and guava. The finish brings out a touch of oak.

Hay, toasted almonds, good backbone of acidity holding it all together. Some Madeira-ish notes as this has aged and evolved quickly and perfectly. Really wonderful.

Light golden yellow and slightly cloudy. Buttercups, dandelion, hint of lime and sea breeze on the nose. Full bodied with salinity, plenty of freshness and lift, and golden succulent yellow fruits but not fruity and still very dry. Exquisitely balanced, no shortage of structure, quite viscous with mouth-watering finish. Really well done and compelling. BTG.

93-94 Simply awesome Cali Chardonnay, made by Raj Parr and Sashi Morman from a historic vineyard. Popped on Christmas day.

An unexpected but beguiling blast of sweet and tertiary butterscotch, mixed with tart and lifting lemon curd. The palate is harmonious between concentrated citrus and rich toasted, spicy notes. Palate has a decisively French feel - restrained power.

Unfortunately my mum guzzled this before I could note anything else down, but undeniably brilliant juice.

Crisp grannysmith apple, lemon and slate on the nose. The racy minerality evolves on the palate as one would expect from a nice Chardonnay. You can taste the earth here, and the wet slate and earth is just below the surface with a texture of small polished stones. Finishes with hints of vanilla bean from a deft touch of oak. Drink today or age for more of the earth to arrive. Mid alcohol and mid + acidity.
