2007 Bouchard Père et Fils Corton-Charlemagne Domaine France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
89 points
Straw yellow color. Tropical fruit nose. Tastes of apple and lime. Well integrated oak. Lime citrus finish. A bit disappointing especially after following the 2000 Magnien Corton-Charlemagne. 13% alcohol.
White
2007 Y de Yquem France, Bordeaux
90 points
Golden color. Waxy honeycomb nose. Tastes of apple, grapefruit, lemon, and lime fruit. Rich full bodied mid palate. Sharp lime dominated finish with some depth and complexity. With time this wine should flesh out and become something special. 14% alcohol.
Red
2004 Littorai Pinot Noir Les Larmes USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley
Garnet color. Spicy cherry nose. Tastes of black cherry, charred earth and so much cola I might as well be drinking a Coca-cola. Green finish that again is dominated by cola. This wine epitomizes everything I hate about California Pinot Noir. 13.6% alcohol.
Red
1997 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir Allen Vineyard USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley
86 points
Cloudy brick red color. Mature cherry fruit on the nose. Tastes of black cherry and spice with some earth undertones. Faded fruit on the finish. This wine has seen better days and should have been consumed IMO at least a 5 years ago. 13.8% alcohol.
Red
2008 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Crau France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
90 points
My first time tasting this wine. Ruby color. Perfumed red fruit nose. Tastes of raspberry, earth, mint, and spice. Medium bodied. Lighter with less structure than past vintages. Well balanced. Spicy finish with some interesting depth. A near term drinker. 14.5% alcohol.
Red
2005 Alban Vineyards Syrah Reva Alban Estate Vineyard USA, California, Central Coast, Edna Valley
Dark purple color. Bright blueberry nose. Tastes of black fruit, oak, more oak, and way too much alcohol. What happened to this wine? Charred oak dominates the green bitter finish. At time like this I am ecstatic I dropped off this mailing list several years ago. Showing every bit of its 15.7% alcohol and more.
Red
2007 Sine Qua Non Syrah Labels USA, California, Central Coast
Dark ruby color. Black fruit nose. Black fruit with a ton of new oak. Loads of structure and tannin. Good freshness and acidity. Quite closed down at this point making it very hard to evaluate. Respectfully left unrated. 15.3% alcohol.
Red
2007 Sanguis The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea USA, California, Central Coast
93 points
Dark purple color. Aromas of blue berry and boysenberry. Tastes of black currant, black berry, and cherry with some nicely integrated oak. Well balanced with good freshness which keeps this wine light on its feet despite the enormous structure and higher alcohol level. Rich powerful finish with nice depth and complexity. Decant for at least 4 hours prior to serving. This wine needs time. Hold. 15.8% alcohol.
Red
1992 Wendouree Cabernet Malbec Australia, South Australia, Mount Lofty Ranges, Clare Valley
Ruby color. Red berry and mint nose. Tastes of mature blackberry and raspberry fruit with some peppermint and mocha notes. Soft earthy finish. 13.5% alcohol.
Red
2007 Pride Mountain Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve USA, California, North Coast, Napa / Sonoma

Black in color. Blueberry and currant nose. Tastes of currant, cherry, violet, coffee and anise. Well balanced. Rich powerful finish with good complexity and length. 15% alcohol.
Red

Brick red color. Earthy black cherry nose. Tastes of cherry, raspberry, coffee and earth. Well balanced. Long elegant finish. Bottle # 5984. 14% alcohol.
Red
