71% Cab; 29% Cab Franc. Bright, expressive nose of red currant, menthol and licorice. Terrific nose. Sweet red currant on the palate. Medium bodied. Short, but nicely balanced finish. Among best of tasting.
Red
2009 Viader USA, California, Napa Valley
89 points
70% Cab; 30% Cab Franc. Green pepper, red currant dominate the nose; palate of red currant, menthol and graphite. Short, gritty finish. Tannins still very present; perhaps grittiness will resolve with age. 2007 drinking much better at the moment.
