Fine nose, even better in the palate, ripe fruit, fresh, elegant, focused, like a chablis grand cru from a good producer a great year. It sees some new oak I believe, but it is so deftly applied and the fruit quality so high. all sorts of complexities on the nose. lovely.

A little timid nose, light colour, light wine, elegant, very fine pinosity, not so structured, drink now wine that will not stand up to heavy food but oh so lovely.

2012 Littorai Pinot Noir The Pivot Vineyard USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast

very pure and elegant, this reminds me of the best Dundee Hills pinots from Oregon, with red berries and some earthy undertones. Some wild herbs, lighter in colour than the other pinots. lovely expression, perfect structure, still a little tightness on the nose: this is for the long haul.

This is the flagship Pinot I am told. It has just a bit more of sweet fruit, cola and strawberries expression, velvety texture and very fine pinot with a lot of everything. If you like pinot noirs with a little bit more frame and sweet fruit this is a true master piece in that category, with very fine freshness and balance and all. Everyone but me had this way ahead of the Pivot vineyard designated bottling, which I thought was more elegant and focused.

Very outspoken pinot with a lot of things going on / the nose is full of dark berries and complex spicy flavors, a little soft at the end it draws you in with its depth and charm.
