Flight 1 (1 note)

White - Sparkling
2002 Domaine Huet Vouvray Pétillant Réserve Brut France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray Pétillant
91 points
Colour: Medium golden colour. Nearly no dossage left.
Nose: A bit of baked apple, quince, nutty aromas, a stony component and some yeast.
Palate: Mineral driven, focused and very lean. Lemon & stone aromas mixed with a nice acidity.

Flight 2 (1 note)

White
2005 Domaine Huet Vouvray Sec Clos du Bourg France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray
90 points
Colour: Light yellow
Nose: First a lot of confectioner's sugar mixed with vanillin covered the nose. After some time in the glass and with more temperature the wine shows aromas of apricote, ginger, fresh cutten pear, orange and almonds.
Palate: As the label said before this wine is dry. At first it is very flat and without any power but getting better with more time. A nice spicy component on the mid-palate appears. Medium finish.

Flight 3 (2 notes)

White - Off-dry
2005 Domaine Huet Vouvray Demi-Sec Clos du Bourg France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray
92 points
Colour: Light yellow
Nose: Firstly again this very conspicuous mix of confectioner's sugar mixed with vanillin. Then more orange & lemon aromas than in the Sec. Also pear and kumquat.
Palate: The higher sugar level is good for the wine. Give it a bit more roundness & brighter shoulders. Good acidity which keeps everything in balance. Again a nice spicy, ginger note on the mid-palate. Medium+ body. Medium finish.
White - Off-dry
2002 Domaine Huet Vouvray Demi-Sec Le Haut-Lieu France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray
89 points
Colour: A much darker colour than the Clos du Bourg from the same flight.
Nose: The nose seems to be at a high maturation level. Baked apple and citrus flavours mixed with a lot of honey. You can also recognize a slightly oxidation.
Palate: The wine is nice to drink but nothing with a lot of complexity. Low acidity. Drink up.

Flight 4 (2 notes)

White - Sweet/Dessert
1989 Domaine Huet Vouvray Moelleux 1ère Trie Le Haut-Lieu France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray
flawed
The first of two hard moments this night. Badly corked. Have another bottle in my cellar I hope its not also corked.
White - Sweet/Dessert
1959 Domaine Huet Vouvray Moelleux Le Haut-Lieu France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray
flawed
After the 89 was corked this bottle was an even harder loss. Recorked not a long time ago. What a pity.

Flight 5 (1 note)

White - Sweet/Dessert
1985 Domaine Huet Vouvray Moelleux Le Mont France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray
93 points
Colour: Intense, golden colour.
Nose: Pear, a bit of candied apricot, apple, marzipan, a bit of wool and wild honey.
Palate: Very fresh on the palate for a 29 year old wine. Feels incredibly youthful and ready for a long way to go. Nice acidity & moderate sweetness. Lovley mouthfeel. Medium+ finish.
