Very nice. Peach, citrus, with perfect balance of fruit, minimal sweetness and acidity. Delicious.

Fabulous, popped and poured, got better and better. Dried fruits, very well balanced. Went very well with sirloin steak with dry rub. Yum, I want more.

One of the favorites from our Christmas wine tasting. Fruit, but a little kick on the back end. Opened about 2 hours before drinking so the rough edges had softened. Probably needs more time, but drinkable now with enough air time.

Probably past it's prime, still a good balance of fruit and spice. I would drink now.

Great zinfandel, great combination of spice and acid and fruit. Not jammy at all. Could probably use another year or two, but drinking nicely now.

Bleh. Flat, little nose, not much going for it. Tried again after a day, not much improvement.

Floral, sweet fruit, a little tobacco on the nose. Popped and poured, first glass was thin without much going for it. Stuck the cork in it and had another glass the next night. Wow, complete transformation. Cherry, herbal with a looong finish. Either a long decant or stick it in the cellar for 2-3 years. Unbelievable QPR on this one.

Agree with prior note, drink now . Excellent QPR though. Strong pepper taste, medium finish.

Fabulous wine. Definitely needs some air time, and will continue to improve for another few years.

Not much on the nose, slightly sweet. Much better on the 2nd night. Very nice wine, went nicely with wild mushroom risotto.

This is one serious bottle of wine. Very intense, maybe I'm not used to drinking pure Grenache. Very complex, felt it needs a long decant.

Tried the next day and WOW, this blew me away. Tannins and alcohol had smoothed out. I've been converted.

Really liked this wine, much better over the last bottle I had. Tannins have integrated better. Nice balance of acidity and fruit, mid length finish. Yum!!

Class zin, pepper, spice, red fruit up front, medium finish. After an hour or so, intensity fades to more of a strawberry jammy feel.

P&P. Wow, really like this wine. Acidity in balance with long finish. Pepper, spice, fruit, everything you want in a zin. And great QPR, especially when compared to other zinfandels. Should just buy a case so I will always have a couple in the cellar.

Liked it, not a fabulous wine but better than most I have had of most Cabernets of this vintage and source. Definitely needs several more years, could be fabulous then.

Very nice Washington cab. Brought to a Cabernet wine tasting and was voted one of top two out of 15 wines. COuld use another year maybe but really singing now.

Powerful wine. Second night the alcohol really comes through along with the vanilla and oak. Much better with food.

I thought the oak dominated a little more than I would like. Perhaps another year in the cellar would help.

Just a wee over the other side of the mountain. Intense cherry flavors, although the intensity subdues a bit with some air.

Dark fruits up front, with a whiff of chocolate and spice on the nose. Drinking wlel right now. Better with food.

FLAWED! Blech, bad odor, bad taste, definitely inconsistent with prior notes. One of my wine gorup, a casual wine drinker, said "even I know that's a bad wine".

Vanilla and citrus notes predominate. The lack of acidity really contributed to my score here. Not quite flabby, but close.

Pop and pour. Dark garnet on the color. Dark fruit on the nose. SMooth, a little tannic with spice and a little chocoloate to taste. Good finish. At $30 a pop, not a great QPR, otherwise, a good daily drinker.

P&P. Black fruit, slightly sweet with tannins that smooth over in an hour or two. Better with food.

Oak is still evident but not overwhelming. Nicely balanced, but probably needs a little air time. Nice wine, went very well with burgers and sweet potato fries.

2000 Argyle Extended Tirage Brut Willamette Valley Champagne Blend (view label images)
Drank at a blind, champagne tasting with my wine group. Definitely stood out from the lot, and was voted #3 out of 9 bottles. Yeasty, with hints of citrus. What's not to like?

Popped and poured. Oak still strong element and not totally integrated. Slightly bitter finish. The next day, oak more integrated and a smoother taste. Another year would really help this wine.

Initially impressed by peach and floral notes, but acidity diminished and left a somewhat bitter, unbalanced finish.

A lighter zin than some of the classic, fruit forward spicy zins but still a balanced wine with fully integrated tannis and easily drinkable. Decanted for about an hour, but wine continued to evolve while drinking over the additional hour. Very nice wine.

Pale, salmon color with lively wild strawberry and cranberry notes. Minerality and spicness on the finish. Very nice rose especially with food.

Typical but excellent representation of the classic viognier, oily but citrus notes and long finish.

Part of an American Sparklers tasting at the BHH. Light, not a complex champagne. A little citrus, definitely strawberry with slight yeast. Nice finish. Nice for a summer afternoon.

Had this at an "American Sparklers" tasting at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Yeasty, toasty with citrus and pear. Creamy with slight honey overtone. Served with cream of golden potato soup topped with caviar. Perfect.

Popped and pured. Initial whiff was intense, graphite, blackberry, but softened over the next hour. Usual zin intensity dissolved to softer tones. Ready to drink now.

Fantastic zinfandel! If you like zin, this is the holy grail. Spice, fruit, with a long finish. Really liked it.

Tasted at a Turley dinner at the Boston Harbor Hotel. I could taste dark fruit, black licorice. Typical Turley zinfandel. Could use a little more time in the bottle.
