A bit antifreezey but otherwise solid.

Drank half and poured half our. Harsh bitter tannins in contrast with strong acidity. Slight mushroom after taste.

Drinkable but not great. Slightly watery. Finished the bottle. Low on tannins but tannins not fully converted. Slightly acidic. Have had better $15 bottles.

Cork had signs of past seepage, but after removing capsule, was in fairly good shape. Cork was removed with standard waiter-style cork screw without issue.

Bouquet: rubbing alcohol, salty black licorice.

Initial taste: not spoiled, but ended on a salty note.

Taste after letting open up a while: pepper, high acid. One note.

Wasn't expecting much from this bottle, given its age and condition.

Opened the 1985 and 1987 for a side by side tasting last weekend. The 1985 was a bit dull, possibly peaked. The 1987 was phenomenal. Complex and tasty. The clear winner.

Wine peaked, but still drinkable. A bit flat, tastes as if it was made from plums or raspberries.

Would be ok for Sangria or mulled wine.

Bouquet of plastic bandage. Flavor starts out as rubbing alcohol, then sweet cat pee (from a diabetic cat), and finally, a warming sensation in my stomach. Wine is definitely passed drinkable. Poured the bottle out.

Definitely passed its peak, but still drinkable. Reddish chocolate color. Notes of leather and earth and a bit of sugar. Like a very ripe cherry. With a hint of decay.
Rosé - Sparkling

For the price class, Chandon and Gruet are much better bets. The Kirkland has very pronounced sour milk notes.

The creamy/fat component is rancid. Poured it out.

Very pronounced vanilla taste. Like a good artificial vanilla syrup, not vanilla bean, but also not offensive.
