I love this wine. Finesse, silky tannin, substantive yet restrained. Beautiful fruit character and complexity of flavor.

Blackberry, blueberry, rich, lightly scratchy tannin, beautiful vibrant ruby or even purple color. Much better the second day.

Luxardo cherry, plums, prunes, big body, high abv, soft tannin, nothing like an Oregon pinot, curant. Solid wine and it competed easily with a strong goat brie.

Ruby red with a hint of rusty color from age, ripe cherry, cranberry, anice, chocolate, leather, small dash of farmyard, prominant structure is furry, bold and lasting, unctuous mouthfeel.

Lemon, pastry dough, graffite, grapefruit, petrol, full bodied, age is showing in oxidative character, but still lively and good. Minerality, fruit and acid well balanced. Sulfur nose, but blows off a few minutes after decanting. Electric gold, kind if like vitamin pee color.

This has a strong raw wood character that is off putting, sort of like the the lumber aisle at Home Depot. Behind it, there is a lot of depth and good varietal character. Nice acidity and fruit. Thick, nearly oily mouthfeel.

Very interesting, never tried a late disgorged Pinot noir. Def original. Strong orange- citrus character (even the bitterness of the peel), a little raspberry and lot of breads/ yeasty notes.

I know this is supposed to be among the most celebrated chanpagnes, but I think it is very overrated. The blend certainly shows signs of deep and complex elements, but the main flavor profile is agreessivley grapefruity to the point of being disjointed. I would forgive such unbalanced 'youth' in a single vintage that should age longer, but in the case of a blend, the winemaker has plenty of flexibility to produce an immediately balanced champagne upon release without compromising ageability.

This wine is thin, weak and lacking in character for an Argentine Malbec...I just returned from wine tasting in Mendoza and I wouldn't have gone back for more of this one. The nose has a weird funk I don't love....the palate is very balanced though.

Tasty - drank at the Park Hyatt Mendoza. It had a chance to open before the glass was poured. Peppercorn on the nose, jammy and spicy. It was big. Tasted of blackberry and black currant. Long but balanced finish.

Blackberry, very dark fruit, maybe some strawberry. Clean finish, compliments food seamlessly. Easy to drink but complex. Delicious even without decanting, it opens to a full fruity, nearly jammy palate. Never had a better malbec in my life (and I just toured Mendoza).

Once the wine fully opened, liked it less. It was a bit thin and not full bodied. Some sort of slightly bitter component (like grapefruit) that we don't love. It takes away from the other earthy tones.

First tasting note of a wine adventure and I wanted to try some local bubbly, found this one at duty free in Santiago.

Immediately the nose is yeasty and buttery, full of malolactic fermentation but also very deceiving. The wine is of a lower callaber than the USD38 price tag and the nose would suggest. There is a weird sort of bitter finish that is perhaps way to much grapefruit. The wine has many characteristics one would want from a nice sparkler, but without the balance of flavor. Neat experience. Although not astounding, I didn't come here for sparklers.

I think this is an underappreciated wine. The rarer gapes (Marsanne, Rousanne) for Australian wines really adds, I think, some wonderful qualities. I thought it was crisp, supremely floral, quite balanced and most certainly unique. The second day a lot of the more distinctive qualities dulled and the wine became too one note for me.

It seems like this wine might have once been more interesting...as it has gotten more popular, maybe a little less complex? I will say there is something I really love about a totally balanced, neutral sip. If this makes sense it is simple but it drinks like an expensive wine.

The wine is quote good and shows it's age, albeit not as well as some of the other adjacent vintages. Still smoky with age, bizarrely nearly too acidic, a touch of medicinal funk that isn't great.

Buttery, absolutely wonderful acids, just brilliant. The scent is nearly reminiscent of shellfish - something light, airy and yet complex. I can't believe I got to taste this. Hard for words to do it justice.
